Traminer is produced in a wide variety, from dry to sweet.

Its color is yellow-green to gold or amber-gold, after several ageing years.

Its specific and distinct aroma is slighty spicy, but otherwise smooth and velvety. Through ageing it becomes full-bodied, slighty bitter and tastes like hazelnuts.
